Saarbrücken - Capital of Steel and Coal

Poster for the exhibition "Montanhauptstadt Saarbrücken" (literally: "Capital of Steel and Coal Industry") as part of the international Saar exhibition from 24 April to 3 May 1953 in Saarbrücken. As part of the negotiations surrounding the future of the autonomous Saarland, the prospect of establishing the institutions of the newly formed European Community for Steel and Coal (ECSC) in Saarbrücken was considered.
