A convincing example of the war conflicts between Palenque and Tonina is the monument 27 from Tonina that correspond to a camber from a step. In it was carved a war Captain from Palenque of great importance during Kan B’ahlam’s reign whose name was K’awill Mo’ and is represented twice in monuments from Tonina. The prisoner appears with his arms tied in the back and his cut ears are substituted by a ribbon or fabric and a tied band in the neck, a distinctive element in war prisoners. The capture was made by K’ihnich B’aaknal Chaahk the most powerful ruler in Tonina. Dra. Federica Sodi MirandaColaboradores: Arqlgo. Hugo Herrera Torres Araceli Ruiz Peláez Mtro.
