More Power/Power Less

±MAISMENOS± is an interventionist art project started by Portugese artist Miguel Januário in 2005. He is best known for creating typographic works that mix wordplay and activistic messaging. In his practice, he aims to offer critical perspectives on political, social and economic questions in modern society.

“More Power” / “PowerLess” was painted on the outside of a staircase belonging to a parking garage in central Stavanger. The artist used the battery like shape of the structure to link the work to the 2017 topic of Nuart Festival: Power in the public sphere.
