The sculpture represents a female figure standing in her right profile under a kind of bower with a child in her two hands. She is clothed from the waist downwards with a thin garment reaching down to near the anklets and thrown over the left shoulder and around the right arm. The hair is brushed back from the forehead over the ears and is tied behind the neck, gathered into a large bow into which a flower has been introduced.
