Municipal Construction Yard (formerly called the "Peunt")

Here Graff highlights the difference between the newer Renaissance building and the much more modest medieval structures surrounding the broad yard. The round tower in the city wall in the left background is consistent with this construction yard's location in the city layout to the east of the Frauenturm tower. Graff is able to integrate these disparate elements into a harmonious whole, in correct perspective. The square's location remained surprisingly constant over the centuries.
