This is an image of Munisuvrata, the 20th Tirthankara, seated cross-legged in dhyana-mudra. On either side he is flanked by Indra and Upendra, holding a chauri (flywhisk) each. The eyes and srivatsa were originally inlaid in silver. Such shrines were virtual Jaina prasadas, and donating such prasadas was considered meritorious like donating a temple.
