Francesco Malaguzzi Valeri, a prominent figure in early 20th-century culture, established a museum dedicated to applied arts in Palazzo Bargellini in 1920. Here, he showcased objects saved from being dispersed on the market, inspiring artisans. The museum was enriched by the Davia Bargellini Picture Gallery in 1924. Today, the rooms retain the style he envisioned – a 18th-century Bolognese apartment, adorned with fine furniture, objects, paintings, and sculptures.
