"Doll has shared children games since the beginning of mankind, but not all dolls were used for children games. Since the XVII century dressmakers used dolls with woman body to diffuse latest fashion.
The most valuable dolls, as this one, had biscuit head, a kind of matt porcelain that gave a more real look to the face than the bright porcelain before used and till mid XIX century wore wigs with natural hair.
As the prize of hair increased due to the custom to make hairpieces introduced other materials for wigs as mohair, which is the name for the goat fur in Tibet, used in this case.

This doll that comes from Lola Anglada (Barcelona, 1896 – Tiana, 1984) dolls collection belongs to the clothing model doll and wears a complete model of the fashion of the seventies of the XIX century, characterized by the polisson incorporation."
