The interview sequences show veteran miners, apprentices of the RAG, relatives of miners as well as persons from other professions that were in some way connected to the mining industry and its employees throughout their lives. Very intimate portraits of people have been created as a consequence, which detail personal reasons and events surrounding mining in the Saar region as well as little anecdotes these people have experienced. A glance into the future of these miners as well as their families is also made.
