It is the representation of the episode of Nativity and the Adoration of the Shepherds to Jesus Child.
The foreground is dominated by the figures of St. Joseph, hands raised, on the left side, and the Virgin Mary, hands clasped, on the right side. Both are kneeling, curved, revealing a contemplative attitude that is strengthened by the gaze to the child of God, who placed in white cloth on straw of manger. The shepherds, behind the Virgin, lurk. Overhead, cut out in the illuminated sky, four hanging angels hold ribbon. The episode is set in a ruined architecture with an opening to the center, a gateway from which a source of light comes and is prolonged in the scene by the representation of the donkey and the cow.
