& nbsp was produced during the 2020 period of quarantine, when many countries around the world went into lockdown to tackle the spread of Covid-19. It’s a personal response to crisis, uncertainty, and altered states of being.
"& nbsp is a project born during these quarantine months. The title, "& nbsp", recalls the contemporary dimension, more precisely, in HTML language, is the code that creates an empty space within a line. Starting from this concept of forced empty space, mixing it with my daily life, I decided to create a project, created between my home and the passage places of these months, to create a very personal identikit during a very constricting phase of life. In this dimension of expectation and constraint, there is a very contemplative, repetitive and melancholic gaze of the passing of the days which are distinguished from the night only by the flow of the sun on the surfaces. This photo in particular represents the essence of the project, as the freest element that is found outside, enters the house and is forced to stay into a surface without a way to escape."
