This gold necklace, of unusual dimensions, may have been crafted for an animal, like a horse, a cow or a royal elephant or intended as adornment for the large statue of a god. It was made of a semi circular gold sheet, supported by a thin layer of bronze. The ornament's shape resembles a crescent moon with a triangular design at the bottom, resembling a pendant. At the top on either side, wires molded into a circular shape, were probably intended to hook a chain onto the necklace. The center of the piece shows the head of an ogre, known as Kala, the god of time. The designs embellishing this elaborate artwork have been created with the use of the repousse technique.
