Nepherite

Taiwan jade, Nepherite, was famous all over the world in 1960s and 1970s and yet so far it is only found and mined in Fengtien, Hualien. Nepherite artifacts had been excavated from the Peinan culture site of Taiwan. Taiwan jade is an exceptionally, tough compact and fine grained, greenish amphibole (tremolite or actinolite) constituting the rare or valuable kind of jade. For the development of economy and environment conservation, the quarry of treasure mine is put an end in Taiwan.
