Nesting Blocks

These interesting wood nesting blocks from an unknown maker in the 1880s or 1890s show scenes from various children’s poems and stories. Reynard the Fox, a character from Aesop’s Fables, appears in a number of scenes, and another block shows images from the classic nursery rhyme, “The Three Little Kittens.” Blocks like this are a timeless toy, and similar ones can still be bought for children today.
