Joaquin Conde is a sculptor and has been a professor of sculpture in UDLAP. He is known because of his sculptures made with traditional materials, as same as experimenting with found and recycling materials. His work tends to the human figure. He tries to give his sculptures a sense of torsion and movement.
Nike, was produced in a period of Conde's artistic production that worked around the idea of women-column, conceived from the idea of Greek sculpture: kore. The name Nike comes from the Greek goddess of Victory.
