The Mexican photojournalist Augustín Casasola’s Child Soldier might seem a vivid portrayal of children’s make-believe were it not a true depiction of adulthood thrust too early upon youth, here during the Mexican Revolution: Antonio Gómez Delgado was just ten when he enrolled in Pancho Villa’s Northern Division of the Constitutionalist Army on July 2, 1910.
