The painter and sculptor Arcangelo Ianelli went through figurative and geometric painting until reaching the abstract. The transition from one phase to another happened very subtly. After exploring abstractionism, Ianelli went further, seeking color itself the object of his interest. Free from forms, color becomes the main element in the last phase of his production, which in turn, is also free of intentions, other than those linked to the very exercise of painting.
