Noh mask Shinkaku

This mask represents a vengeful spirit with divine power. It is used for the role of a ghost of a military commander. The name of the mask is derived from the craftsman ‘Shinkaku,’ who created the first Shinakaku mask. He was one of the eight major Noh mask carvers in the 16the century.
