Diego Rivera1930

Diego Rivera met Frida Kahlo when she was still an impetuous young woman studying at the National Preparatory School; at the time he did not imagine that years later, in 1929, she would become his wife. Strangely enough, there are few portraits of Frida by Diego. One of those is this lithograph, in which the painter captures her in an erotic ambience, full of sensuality. Frida is depicted partly nude and half-smiling at the viewer, as she did so often in front of the camera.
