"Nukatabenoomi" long sword with an inscription

This sword from the latter half of the sixth century was found at the Okadaya-yama mounded tomb numbered 1 in 1929.After its discovery,about half of the blade rusted off,so to halt this further decay,in 1983 measures were taken to preserve the sword.X-ray pictures of the sword revealed some gaint writing still remaining.The script had been chiseled in and then coated in silver,but had been obscured by time.
