For her mural, Nina Royle interlaced short poems with painted abstract, organic patterns that loosely reference plant forms or landscapes. In several sections there is more direct use of figuration that centres on the suggestion of being held, for example, of hands holding or supporting. The idea behind bringing these elements together is to create an impression of a constant exchange - an inhalation and exhalation between a body and the outside world.
