Diego Rivera's wake, held at his studio in San Ángel

Rivera died at his studio in San Ángel on November 24, 1957. Friends and relatives attended his wake. The following day, Federico Canessi took an impression of his face to make a death mask, and Ignacio Asunsolo took impressions of his hands that would later be placed on his grave.
