Official Opening of the First Clubhouse.

The First Clubhouse was officially opened on 3 April 1920. It was seen as a major event in the life of Bondi Beach and attracted a large number of local dignitaries. It was officially opened by Club Patron Honourable C.W. Oakes, MLA who is standing in this photograph. The Club established North Bondi as a club with some of the best lifesaving facilities in the world.
