AXEMEN'S CARNIVAL AT CIRENCESTER
Wood chopping & sawing competitions between Forestry Units of New Zealand and Australia were held at the Abbey, Cirencester. One particularly spectacular event was the felling of a tree with a Jigger, which is an improvised platform affixed to a tree. Keen rivalry was shown between the representatives of the various Dominions.
