Oke Osisi was inspired by the artist's love for nature and his willingness to project the importance of trees in our lives. Besides the usefulness of trees to the environment it has always been revered by different cultures and used as metaphors in celebrating the greatness of outstanding individuals in various African societies. Special reference is made to the Igbo's with an example of Okonkwo, the protagonist of the iconic novel "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe.
