An exhibition as aromatic as it is enchanting, the Oman Pavilion takes visitors on a panoramic tour of one of the Arabian Peninsula’s great treasures: sweet-smelling frankincense, used in perfumes and incense since ancient times.

Omanis have been harvesting and trading this precious resin for some 5,000 years, and their expertise, care and innovation are on full display in every corner of the whimsically tree-shaped pavilion. Visit with a hyper-real animatronic Boswellia sacra tree, learn the resin’s history and heritage from virtual-reality storytellers, explore a botanical “library of life” tended by robots – or just let the delicate aromas of frankincense relax you at the pavilion’s scent bar.
