On Golden Pond

Rick Ayotte began creating paperweights in the 1970s at the encouragement of his friend and fellow scientific glassblower Paul Stankard. An extremely skilled flameworker, Ayotte closely observes nature to produce an accurate description of his subjects captured in glass. He is perhaps best known for his paperweights depicting various birds in exquisite detail.
