On Shaky Ground IV

David Reekie's humorous sculpture reflects his observations of human faults, eccentricities, and insecurities. He places his caricature-like figures in unreal or unstable settings, as if frozen in time. He also combines materials to enliven the sculpture and create a contrast between the warmth of wood and the coldness of glass. This whimsical figure balances on a wooden plank with a yellow block atop his head.
