Alistair King began his career as a copywriter in 1989. Before starting King James, he got good practice as a creative director at JWT Cape Town and then at Ogilvy.
King now sits on the frontline of South African creativity in his role as chairman of the Creative Circle and was named in Adfocus 2006 as one of South Africa's top 15 most influential ad practitioners.
