On the Outskirts of the Village

The drawing made by the artist Ioan Mattis-Teutsch reproduces a frequent theme in the artist's work, namely the exploration of nature and the relationship between which man develops with his surroundings. The shape of the trees in the foreground highlights the fragility of the natural world. At the same time, the circular composition makes references to the concept of cyclicity and renewal, offering the hope of a new beginning, still shrouded in fog.
