萩原朔美 Sakumi Hagiwara (b. 1946)
A native of Tokyo. In the 1960s Hagiwara was an underground stage actor who went on to work as a director and video artist. In the 1970s he made silkscreen prints and won a prize at the 10th Tokyo International Print Biennale, and also submitted works to other international biennales. His works, mostly from the ’70s, are shown in exhibitions introducing the trend of modern print.
