A very present item in Brazilian houses, the oratory was widely used from the time of the Colony until today in some regions of the country, in general composing the upper part of paper bins and consoles. This example, in rosewood, style D. José I, has a probable Portuguese execution and presents the sinuous forms of the French Rococo. Matches with dresser-bins. The piece is part of the MCB Collection.
