During the pandemic of 2020-2021, Karamu created and filmed original social justice works honoring the Black experience in the United States. These series of productions were released for free on social media and other streaming platforms, attracting media attention from all Greater Cleveland news outlets, as well as national outlets and reached over 50,000 people near and far within the first two weeks.
With Karamu's building closed, it also launched digital delivery of other programming within its repertoire, including professional theatre, real-time virtual arts education classes for all ages, and online community programs.
