Ornamental Hairpin with Plum Flower and Bamboo designs

This hair pin with plum flowers and bamboo designs symbolized women's chastity. Generally, corals were implanted in the flowers with cloisonne. Large pins were used for special occasions; small ones were worn by the women of the royal or upper-class families from fall to winter.
