Orthography of Krakatoa

A note discussing Verbeek's theory on the orthography of Krakatoa. The note reads: "Verbeek says that the orthography Kraktoa has no plausible justification but which he himself adopts Krakatau he says that it is a corruption of Rakata and elsewhere shows that perhaps Rakata should be Kalkata or Karkata this is further turned into karkataka and this in malay becomes Kelakatoe"
