Panel painting in Estanmolín's own style featuring refined and artificial shapes, and faces with small features. The painter produced plenty of work in Aragon between 1577 and 1620.
This painting's iconographic composition is more similar to that of the xylographic models from the late 15th century. Despite this, the rosary surrounding the Virgin is typical of the 16th century, in line with the order of prayers with 15 equal parts.
