P.S. 23 shelf

2/13/20: Remember that iconic photo of our intrepid volunteers hand-carrying these wrapped long objects one by one from our damaged archives to our recovery area at 215 Centre Street?
Well, we found out that this is one of the items they were carrying. It's from our P.S. 23 collection and it's a drawer containing the records of students who once attended P.S. 23 back when the building at 70 Mulberry Street was a public school starting in 1891.
