This is a letter dated November 9, 1967, from Greensboro accountant John W. Davis to North Carolina Governor Dan Moore. In the letter, Davis complains about the Black Power Forum held at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) November 1-3, 1967, and about the controversial hiring of activist Howard Fuller at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He further suggests that William Friday, president of the university system, and Chancellor James Sharbrough Ferguson should resign. Friday and Ferguson both received copies of the letter, and Friday responded, requesting a meeting with Davis.
