Printed letters on birth prevention. The issue of birth control has been controversial throughout the 20th century. In this printed correspondence, Reverend C. Sharpe writes to Lady Nancy Astor on the issue, after Astor had spoken about her concern for the high maternal death rate and called on the Government not to make birth control a religious issue. Printed with the letter is Astor's reply, and also a 'confession' from a murderess about to be executed, that she wished she had not prevented herself from having children.
