Painting on wood dedicated to the souls of Purgatory. This type of religious representation, the "Alminhas" (literally, "Little souls") was used not only within churches and chapels, but also in small niches that received the same name.

These niches were built on crossroads, near bridges, or other places of particular communal significance where anyone passing by could stop and pronounce prayers for the salvation of souls, just like the one inscribed on the base of the panel : "Ó vós que ides passando lembraivos de nós que estamos penando P.N.A.V.M. [Oh you that pass by, remember us in suffering. Our Father, Hail Mary]".
