Each of these two gilt bronze, two-branched wall lights is the mirror image of the other. The two twisting arms each end in leafy drip pan, with candle sockets of differing designs, a common feature of wall lights at this time.

The wall lights are not marked with a maker's name, but the lower portion closely follows a design by André-Charles Boulle that was published around 1720. The printed design records that the wall lights were intended for a room with a low ceiling. Wall lights were usually attached to mirror frames so that the mirror's reflections would increase the effect of the candlelight.
