Panorama of Nuremberg's Old Town from the West

In this view of the Old Town, drawn by Pablo de la Riestra from a terrace outside the walls at Westtorgraben 15, Nuremberg appears as a kind of "floating Old Town oasis." It seems an island, shaped like half an oval, thus enabling the artist to give particular expression to the self-contained quality of the cityscape, with its medieval flavor.
