Pantalone

Pantalone: a major mask of the commedia dell’ arte, a rich and miserly old merchant sometimes represented as a rheumatic scarecrow, decrepit and stumbling. He wears a red costume with a black gown. One of his dramatic functions is to be cuckolded by the gallants of his young wife.
