A reproduced installation of a renovated apartment in Seoul. Park Chanyong, a magazine editor based in Seoul and actual owner of this house, planned and designed himself for his own individual needs and taste. This renovation was the result of his lack of financial status and limited experience as well. For the purpose of his own living in Seoul city, he purchased a cheap and old apartment that was built in 1971 at Seodaemun-gu Seoul. With little knowledge of home repairs, he proceeded from demolishing to remodeling the whole process. The result of all conditions is little different from the standardized Korean interiors at the time. Park tried to improve the living function and preserve the circular layout, while focusing on materials to create a flow of thought atmosphere.
The result shows an individual view and approach to interior design.
*The Italian flooring was sponsored by GAZZOTTI KOREA.
