Piece of patchwork consisting of alternating patches made from two different fabrics, about 4 inches square. One fabric has flowers in red, dark brown and violet with black outlines for stems on a white ground. The other fabric has two shades of violet-brown in vertical stripes with a tiny flower head design reserved in white. Cotton is coarse and heavy.
