Clothes hooks

Miners were able to hang their clothes on the clothes hooks during their shift underground. They were pulled under the ceiling on castors on the chain in the shower room. The larger version of this clothes hook, the wire basket, was predominantly used later on. Every basket or hook was provided with a specific number which was allocated to a miner.
