Penda (Water pitcher storage)

In this residence, penda was a room used to store a large number of water pots and pitchers. It was built in the courtyard of the residence. It had a stone slab on which earthen pots filled with water were kept. A shorter safety door not covering the entire height was made to keep toddlers and pets from entering the space.
