Chelsea gold-mounted 'provider for the monastery' double scent bottle and stopper. The bearded monk is wearing a grey-lined brown habit, holding a white goose and a yellow basket of eggs. Supporting on his back is a pale yellow and brown wheat sheaf, encrusted with red-centred blue florettes and revealing the head and dangling orange shoes of a young girl. One stopper is formed by the monk's head, and the other by a plaster florette sprigs above a gilt dentil border. The concave underside has a floral spray in tones of puce, yellow, blue, iron-red and green. The bottle and stopper have necks mounted in gold.
