Peti almari were recorded only in the Malwa region during the fieldwork in Punjab. Like the sandook and the peti, this was also an item of furniture that would be gifted as part of the daaj. Sturdy handles on the sides are a definite feature of the peti almari to help in lifting it up to be moved from one place to another.
