The ulama is the survival of the ancient Ullamaliztlo. The ball game that ancient Mesoamerican cultures played and that only survived in Sinaloa, where it is preserved in some towns near Mazatlán, is played on an elongated dirt field, called taste, that measures 60 meters long by 5 meters wide. width, in which the ball or “rubber” is played by two teams of five or six members each, who can only hit the ball, weighing almost four kilos and about 20 cm in diameter, with their hips.
